For commercial landlords: New Lease - Revised Lease - Lease Amendment / Alteration - Lease Assignment / Transfer - Subleasing - Renewal / Extension |
||||||
LEASE ALTERATION / AMENDMENT During the course of a lease arrangement, which can run upwards of 10 to 20 years, circumstances do change such that it might become necessary that the parties to the lease alter the terms of the leasing arrangement and thereupon amend their existing lease agreement. The realities of business are such that the commercial market does not remain stagnant, but is constantly evolving, such that this evolution can either positively or negatively impact the operations of the commercial tenant and his/her relation to the landlord. Given such a reality, it only makes sense that commercial landlords be capable of professionally addressing those situations, whether by negotiating alterations or seeking to enforce the demands of the existing lease agreement. This requires a solid lease amendment to create a formal basis for the alteration and thereby enable the parties to move forward with their respective business ventures. At Neufeld Legal P.C., our legal practice includes extensive work in the areas of negotiating, reviewing and drafting lease agreements, including assisting commercial landlords with negotiating the alteration of existing leasing arrangements and amending the lease agreement.
